Hückelhoven, 01.12.2020 If you want to survive in the age of Covid-19, there is no way around digitizing your processes. The problem is that companies often do not have the necessary capacity to take care of the “process digitization” site. With the new business low code platform brixxbox, all business processes can be digitized with little effort for the IT department through self-configured applications – fast, easy and highly flexible. But what is behind the brixxbox? We asked Stephan Krage, founder of Brixxbox GmbH.
Editor: Mr. Krage, how did you get the idea for the brixxbox?
Stephan Krage: As a developer, consultant, project manager and division manager, I have implemented countless IT projects in small and large companies in the past. I always used tried and tested standard systems that by their very nature could never completely map the individual business processes. This, in turn, meant that the project was always unnecessarily protracted and caused further costs for the customer because desired functions could only be programmed from scratch. In the long run, this was very frustrating. I thought to myself: “This must also be easier. – the idea for the brixxbox was born.
Editor: What makes the low code platform brixxbox so special?
Stephan Krage: The basic idea of the software is simply a completely different one. Instead of a ready-made program or modules, we at Brixxbox rely on brixxe, i.e. building blocks. The basic principle is “configuration instead of programming”. Any IT-savvy person is therefore able to put together his or her desired application – no matter how extensive or special – module by module. Almost any process can be mapped. This makes it easy, fast and highly flexible for IT professionals to configure the desired application. If necessary, the software can be used on a very simple level or can be used in almost any technical depth.
Editor: Why do you think the low code platform brixxbox is a real alternative for companies, especially in today’s world?
Stephan Krage: We live in a world that is spinning ever faster. What was true last year no longer needs to be relevant this year. A high degree of flexibility – especially for IT software – is therefore simply a must. Furthermore, in my experience, the frustration among IT managers is very high: they are often confronted with a tangled web of different (and sometimes inadequate) systems and media disruptions. With the brixxbox, we finally offer these people a tool that allows them to develop fully functional solutions with their own accent to optimize their work. The brixxbox is already successfully in use at companies of various industries and sizes – and is consistently inspiring.
Editor: So is the brixxbox only interesting for the IT departments of larger companies?
Stephan Krage: No, the brixxbox is actually suitable for any IT-savvy person who is looking for a simple and fast way to flexibly implement their own ideas of an application. The tool is also perfectly suited for freelancers who are looking for an efficient solution for their tasks or simply want to work more efficiently. That’s what’s brilliant about it: With the brixxbox you finally free yourself from the chains of standard software and are simply completely flexible!
Editor: What is the procedure for using the brixxbox?
Stephan Krage: On the website www.brixxbox.net/en every interested party has the opportunity to test the software for 30 days free of charge, create the first applications and try them out. Videos and extensive documentation provide support during the initial configuration phase. Those who don’t want to start “blank” have the possibility to select a desired application from a number of templates and thus start it directly.
